Checked October 3, 2026 (01:20 KST) against one official page: Ninja Ireland’s product page for the Ninja CRISPi 4-in-1 Portable Glass Air Fryer, model FN101UKST (Stone), including its FAQ section. We have not bought, cooked with, cleaned or tested this or any air fryer. This is a materials-and-care documentation check, not a safety, toxicity or performance test, and it does not recommend a product or a store.
Short answer: A glass cooking container doesn’t tell you what every food-contact part is made of. On the one model we checked, the containers are glass, but Ninja’s own FAQ answers "Is the crisper plate nonstick?" with "Yes. The crisper plate has a nano-ceramic coating." Cleaning rules are split by part too: the glass containers can go in a dishwasher, while the power unit must not be immersed or put in one. (Ninja Ireland, FN101UKST product page)
So if "no coating" or "easy cleaning" is the reason you’re paying, check it per part, on the exact model and region you’d buy.
Think in parts, not in "the air fryer"
Before reading any listing, split the appliance into three layers:
- The vessel — what holds the food (here: glass containers).
- The food-contact insert — what the food sits on (here: crisper plates).
- The powered unit — the part with the controls that the containers snap onto (Ninja calls it the PowerPod).
Each layer has its own material question and its own cleaning question. A listing that answers the first doesn’t answer the other two.
One scoped example: Ninja CRISPi FN101UKST (Ireland)
We use one exact model from one regional page as an illustration. It shows the pattern; it does not describe every CRISPi, other Ninja models, or other countries’ versions.
That last point is Ninja’s own: the same page says products "are developed to meet specific market needs and regulations, which is why certain features may differ from one region to another," and gives the example that a function on the US version was replaced by Keep Warm on the Irish one. So read the page for your market and your exact model code, not a different region’s.
What the Irish FN101UKST page lists under "What’s Included":
- 1.4L glass container and 3.8L glass container
- Adaptor (the FAQ says it’s for the 3.8L container and should not be used with the 1.4L one)
- Large and small crisper plates
- Large and small lids
Separately, the product description and spec table describe a 1700-watt PowerPod that you snap onto one of the glass containers. The cleaning FAQ also mentions a "modular base" that isn’t named in the included list; the page doesn’t explain which part that is, so we only report its cleaning rule as written.
And on material, the page says two different things about two different parts:
| Part | What the page says about material |
|---|---|
| Glass containers | Described as glass ("CleanCrisp glassware") |
| Crisper plates | FAQ: nonstick, with a nano-ceramic coating |
| Lids, adaptor, PowerPod | No material statement we could find on this page — UNKNOWN here |
That’s the core finding: a glass bowl and a coated plate in the same box. Neither line on its own is good or bad news — it depends on which part your requirement is actually about.
Care matrix: FN101UKST, per the Ireland page’s FAQ
Source: "How do I clean the CRISPi?" on the Ninja Ireland FN101UKST page, read October 3, 2026. Not a summary of the instruction booklet.
| Part | Dishwasher? | By hand | Conditions the page adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Glass containers | Yes | Hot, soapy water | No abrasive cleaning tools when hand-washing; let the container cool to room temperature before it goes into water, a sink or a dishwasher; dry all parts thoroughly |
| Lids | Top rack only | Yes | Dry thoroughly after hand-washing |
| Modular base | No — hand only | Clean, damp cloth | Dry thoroughly |
| PowerPod (powered unit) | No | Wipe unit and control panel with a damp cloth | Let it cool completely first; do not immerse it in water or any other liquid |
| Crisper plates | UNKNOWN | UNKNOWN | Not covered in this FAQ answer — check the instruction booklet for your exact model |
| Adaptor | UNKNOWN | UNKNOWN | Not covered in this FAQ answer; the page does say to remove it only when the pod is cool |
Two things the matrix is meant to stop:
- "Dishwasher-safe" on a listing isn’t a blanket statement. On this model the page says it of the glass containers and (top rack) the lids, and explicitly rules it out for the PowerPod.
- Cool before washing. The page’s instruction to let the containers cool to room temperature first is a condition, not a tip — it’s part of the care rule.
Before checkout: fill this in for the model you’d actually buy
No ranking here — just the cells to fill. Leave a cell blank or write UNKNOWN if the official page or manual doesn’t say. Don’t fill it from a review, a forum or a different region’s listing.
| What to record | Your model |
|---|---|
| Exact model code and the country/region of the page you read | |
| Vessel material (as the manufacturer states it) | |
| Is a crisper plate/tray included? Its stated material or coating | |
| Other food-contact parts (lid, adaptor, inserts) and their stated material | |
| Dishwasher rule for each removable part | |
| Powered unit: how the manufacturer says to clean it | |
| Cooling or "no abrasive" conditions | |
| Official replacement part number for the plate, if the manufacturer lists one |
If your deciding requirement is "no coated surface touching food", the row that matters most is the crisper plate — not the vessel.
What this page doesn’t tell you
- Whether any coating or material is safe or unsafe. That’s a toxicology question we haven’t examined, and the product page’s own PFAS FAQ is a general definition, not a test result for this plate.
- How well the appliance cooks, how long cleaning takes, or how durable the coating is. We haven’t used it.
- Which third-party trays or liners fit or are approved. We haven’t verified any, so we don’t suggest one.
- Current price, stock or whether any store link is eligible for commission. The only link here is the manufacturer’s regional product page, cited as our source. It isn’t an affiliate link and isn’t a recommendation to buy there. If we ever add a shopping link, it will be after we verify that exact offer, and any affiliate relationship will be disclosed before the link.
Quick checklist
- [ ] I know the exact model code and region of the page I’m reading.
- [ ] I’ve checked the crisper plate’s material separately from the vessel’s.
- [ ] I know which parts are dishwasher-safe and which are hand-wipe only.
- [ ] I know the powered unit is never immersed (on the model I checked, Ninja says so explicitly).
- [ ] Anything the official page doesn’t state is marked UNKNOWN, not guessed.
